Coaching
Staff
Head Coach:
Matt
Forrest joined the coaching staff in 2002, and founded Solo Aquatics in the
summer of 2006. Matt is
directly responsible for coaching the Age Group 1, Gold and Senior teams.
Originally from Long Island, New York; Matt graduated from the University
of
Southern Maine
with a B.S. in Business Administration and a double minor in
Economics and Finance. Formerly, Matt
was the Head Coach of the Westbrook Seals in
Maine, where he served on the Board of
Directors of Maine Swimming. While coaching in New England, Matt has led his swimmers to many distinctions,
including:
- Finalists at the USA
Swimming National Championships
- Speedo Sectional Champions
- Speedo Sectional Meet Record Holders
- New England Champions
- New England Record Holders
- Scholastic All-American Honors
Assistant Coach:
Pat Corr joined the coaching staff in the summer of 2007.
He is a graduate of UMass Lowell where he earned a degree in
Criminal Justice. For
the past 3 years Pat has coached the
Haverhill
YMCA Swim Team, where he served as the Head Coach of the team for
the 2006-2007 season. In
addition, he has coached for the past 5 years at the
Bradford
Swim Club during the summer months. Pat is currently studying
for his masters degree and will be working primarily with the Age
Group 2 swimmers.
Assistant Coach:
Paul Mueller joined the coaching staff in the fall of 2007.
As a swimmer, Paul swam for
Central
Catholic
High School
for four years as well as a
USA
swim club. After high school, Paul attended
Boston
College
where he graduated with a degree in Education. For the past 6
years Paul has coached at the
Bradford
Swim Club during the summer months.
Paul currently works as a history teacher in Lawrence and
will be assisting with the Age Group 1, Gold, and Senior swimmers.
